Prawn Caldine Curry
Prawn Caldine curry is a non-spicy yellow Goan curry made with prawns. This dish is a popular Goan dish usually made with fish.
Ingredients
- Green Chilly 4 Numbers
- Ginger Garlic Slices 10 Grams
- Salt To Taste
- Onions 2 Numbers
- Oil 3 Tablespoons
- Poppy Seeds 1 Tablespoons
- Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
- Coriander Seeds 1 Teaspoons
- Pepper Corns 10 Numbers
- Prawns 500 Grams
- Turmeric ¼ Teaspoons
- Tamarind Juice ½ Cup
- Vinegar ½ Teaspoons
- Coconut Milk 3 Tablespoons
- Sugar 1 Pinch
Instructions
- Heat a pan add pepper corns, coriander seeds, cumin seeds, poppy seeds,
- dry roast the ingredients, put it in to the blender and make a paste.
- Heat oil in a pan add prawns, salt, cook it for a minute and take it in to a plate,
- in the same oil add onions, salt, thin slices of ginger & garlic, green chilly, turmeric and add made poppy seeds paste,
- add tamarind juice, vinegar, cook it for some more minutes,
- add coconut milk bring it to a boil add pinch of sugar,
- add the cooked prawns cook it for 3 minutes and switch off the flame.
