A lemon and honey dressing perked up with ginger, makes watermelons even tastier. Watermelons are a rich source of iron, and provide you a good nutrient boost. When watermelon is not season, use muskmelon, which tastes equally good.
Ingredients
  • For the ginger dressing
  • ½ tsp grated ginger (adrak)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tbsp low fat curds (dahi)
  • 1 tbsp milk powder
  • salt to taste
  • Other ingredients
  • 2 cups watermelon (tarbuj) cubes
  • 1 cup pineapple cubes
  • 1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels (makai ke dane)
  • 1 cup cucumber cubes
  • salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp grated carrot for the garnish
Instructions
  1. For the ginger dressing
  2. Combine all the ingredients together in a bowl and whisk well. Refrigerate to chill.
  3. How to proceed:
  4. Combine the watermelon, pineapple, corn, cucumber and salt together in a serving bowl and mix well. Refrigerate to chill.
  5. Just before serving, pour the dressing over it and toss gently.
  6. Serve immediately garnished with carrots.
