Banana smoothies
Smoothies are a great option for a quick breakfast on the go, plus they're a great way to use up ripe bananas. You can also peel, chop and freeze ripe bananas so you always have them on standby for an afternoon energy boost.
Ingredients
- Banana, apricot & mango
- 2 ripe bananas
- Handful dried apricots
- 1 ripe mango, peeled, sliced
- 200g natural yoghurt (or 100ml apple juice for a dairy-free smoothie)
- Banana, oat & fig
- 2 ripe bananas
- 2 fresh or dried figs
- 1 cup (250ml) milk
- Handful oats
- 1 tbs almonds
- 2 tsp honey
- Banana & berry
- 1 ripe banana
- Handful frozen berries (such as raspberries or blueberries)
- 3 tsp honey
- 300ml milk
Instructions
- Peel and break up the bananas, then add to a blender with the rest of the ingredients. Blend until smooth. If you like your smoothie thinner, add a dash of water, milk or juice to loosen it up. Divide between 2 tall glasses and serve.
