Moong Dal puri is a fantastic puffed Indian bread made with all-purpose flour combined with soaked moong dal and other spices ground together and made into stiff dough and deep fried into excellent round puffed pooris. This is a popular Jodhpuri style of cooking.
Ingredients
- Salt To Taste
- Ginger (optional) 1 inch Piece
- All Purpose Flour 1 Cup
- Spring Onions 1 Tablespoons
- Cumin Seeds 1 Teaspoons
- Moong Daal ½ Cup
- Chilly Powder 1 Teaspoons
- Hing Pinch
- Oil For Deep Fry
Instructions
- First soak the moon Dal for 2 hours and keep it aside. To the soaked moon dal, add cumin seeds, spring onions, ginger (optional) put it into the blender and make a paste.
- Take a bowl add all purpose flour, salt, chilly powder, hing, mix this and add prepared paste, add some water and mix it like a soft dough, divide the dough into equal portions and make them puris and deep fry them in the hot oil.
