Paneer and Vegetable Parathas ( Baby and Toddler Recipe)

Parathas make terrific toddler food since they can usually be enjoyed without parental supervision. Most babies will often hold onto a piece and nibble away while they're busy doing their own thing. They will enjoy this at meal times too with dal and raita.
Ingredients
- For The Filling
- ⅛ cup green peas , boiled and mashed
- ¼ cup grated carrot
- ¼ cup grated paneer (cottage cheese)
- 2 tbsp grated beetroot
- 1 tbsp chopped coriander (dhania)
- salt and to taste
- For The Dough
- ¾ cup whole wheat flour (gehun ka atta)
- 1 tbsp wheat bran
- ½ tsp oil
- salt to taste
- Other Ingredients
- 4 tsp ghee for cooking
Instructions
- For the filling
- Combine all the ingredients and mix well.
- Divide into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
- For the dough
- Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and knead into a soft dough using enough water.
- Divide into 4 equal portions and keep aside.
- How to proceed
- Roll out one portion of the dough into a 75 mm. (3") diameter circle.
- Place a portion of the filling mixture and fold the edges of the dough over the filling.
- Pinch the edges together to seal the filling in.
- Flatten the dough and roll out again into a 100 mm. (4") diameter circle.
- Cook on a tava (griddle) over a medium flame till it is golden brown in colour on both sides, using a little ghee.
- Repeat for the remaining dough and filling. Serve lukewarm with curds or raita.
