Tomato sweet chutney with Dates and Mango Aam papad
This is a very popular sweet and sour chutney made with dates, tamarind and jaggery. It is served with many chaat items and can also be used as a dip for samosas.
Ingredients
- Sugar 2 Tablespoons
- Salt To Taste
- Cashew Nuts 20 Grams
- Ginger Grated 1 Teaspoons
- Turmeric 1 Pinch
- Cardamom Powder ¼ Teaspoons
- Fennel Seeds ¼ Teaspoons
- Cumin Seeds ¼ Teaspoons
- Whole Red Chilly 2 Numbers
- Mustard Seeds ¼ Teaspoons
- Oil 2 Tablespoons
- Tomato 250 Grams
- Dates Chopped 100 Grams
- Mango Aam Papad (mamidi Tandra) 100 Grams
- Raisins 20 Grams
- Chat Masala ½ Teaspoons
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds, whole red chilly, cumin seeds, fennel seeds, cardamom, sugar turmeric, grated ginger, cashew nuts, chopped tomatoes cook this till tomatoes cooked,
- add, salt, cook this few minutes, add chopped dates, mango Aam papad (mamidi tandra), raisins, chat masala.
